A writer and dreamer since childhood, Margaret was born and raised in rural Nova Scotia. She flew off to experience the magic of the West Coast for a while, where she cultivated her mind, earned a B.A. and M.A. in English from the University of Victoria, and dug into the local food movement.
An expired academic with a bohemian spirit, Margaret now home schools her two young children alongside her husband on a one acre homestead and runs her own business on the South Shore of Nova Scotia.
Previous roles include Coordinator of the Digital Humanities Summer Institute (DHSI); Web Editor for the Electronic Textual Culture Lab at UVic; Editor and Content Developer for Qool Media; and Communications Coordinator for Sierra Club Atlantic. For the past ten years, Margaret has worked as a freelance Copywriter and Editor.
Through Locavore Creative, Margaret provides content marketing support for the growers, producers, vendors, and organizers behind the local food movement.
Margaret helps clients engage with their ideal audience and grow an online presence that is in alignment with their vision and goals.
