DAVID EISNOR Futurpreneur Inc. & South Shore Farms
At heart and in practice, David is an entrepreneur. He has experience with small business consulting specializing in business start-ups; renovating and restoring old homes; and running both a tourism and farming business. David received his business degree from Acadia University/ David Eisnor grew up on the south shore of Nova Scotia so it is no surprise that his farm is located there. He started the haskap orchard in Upper Branch, NS, with the hopes of expanding into a range of haskap products including wine, juice, preserves and dried fruit. Eventually David intends to open the farm to Agri-Tourism, allowing him to share the beauty of Nova Scotia’s south shore with people from all over.
David has over a decade of experience supporting entrepreneurs with business start-up through his experience working with the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development (CEED), the Entrepreneurs’ Forum, and most recently in his role at Futurpreneur Canada (formerly CYBF). David has demonstrated his passion for entrepreneurship by successfully opening and running the Halifax Backpackers Hostel. In 2004 he and his business partner were named Young Entrepreneurs of the year with the Business Development Bank of Canada, and the Best Business Award for Community Involvement with the Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF). He sold this business to his business partner in 2008. David is also an investment property owner and property manager.
